Much of Timmy's inspiration comes from the Florida landscape—its vast skies, humid air, endless beaches, quiet lakes, and untamed swamps. A Lake Mary resident, he is especially drawn to small-town streets and weathered churches, places where time seems to slow and the noise of everyday life fades. In those fleeting moments, connection happens.

His hope is whatever the subject or wherever the location that his paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find a sense of calm. Stop. Look. Breathe. Be still.

Carpe Diem

Now working primarily in oil on canvas he embraces the traditions of plein air and alla prima painting—capturing what he sees and feels in the moment, before it disappears.

 Back in his outdoor studio, he selects the plein air paintings he wishes to develop into larger, finished works. This process allows him to take advantage of the traditional layering techniques that oil paint affords, adding depth, richness, and complexity to each piece.
